Program Overview
The HEAL Trauma program, funded by Children’s Services Council of Broward County, operating in Pompano and Deerfield Beach, connects youth and families to community resources while building and strengthening alliances between families and service providers. Additionally, HEAL team members disperse into the community to provide rapid response distribution of resources and community referrals after emergency or traumatic events.
Participants enrolled in this program receive:
- Financial assistance during emergencies: rental assistance,
utility payments, and groceries - Help identifying affordable childcare outside of school hours
- Opportunities to participate in activities including yoga, arts and crafts, cultural dance, self expression workshops, and music exploration
- Linkage to resources that address their individual needs
